Since the 1920's mining operations have been a part of Azusa Rocks' history. On the edge of the San Gabriel Valley Mountains lies a resource that is essential to our quality of life. The materials at Azusa Rock have been produced by several companies in its nearly 90 year history. Since acquiring the project in 1999, Vulcan Materials has studied ways to amend the current Reclamation Plan in ways that would dramatically improve its appearance, and guarantee that no additional acreage would be mined.

Vulcan Materials Company is a recognized leader in the aggregate production industry. Vulcan Materials has studied and explored ways to enhance the appearance and reclamation plan since acquiring the property in 1999. Azusa Rock is comprised of 270 acres located within the City of Azusa. It produces aggregate materials which are used to construct highways, homes, hospitals, and other important infrastructure projects that essential to our quality of life.
